New Zealand Internships provides full and complete accommodation assistance. If required, we will help you find the best accommodation for your needs. It will be located close to your host organisation, comfortable and affordable. The majority of our interns are able get to work by walking or taking a short bus ride. Where possible, we will do our best to put you in accommodation with other interns and/or students.
Auckland City Apartments
You will have a private bedroom in an apartment based in city centre Auckland. Kitchen and bathroom are shared with one or two other students. All apartments are fully furnished and include bed linen and towels. The advantage is that you live in an apartment with several other interns, making it easy to meet up and have a drink with each other. The vibrant center of Auckland is within walking distance. Your apartment is easily accessible by bus and the central location makes it a good base. The rooms are generally somewhat smaller than in a student house, but quite complete.
Rent: around 245 NZD per week
Intern houses are perfect for the interns working in Birkenhead, Northcote, Takapuna, Albany or anywhere on the Auckland North Shore. Our candidates will share the house with other international students and interns – making it a great way to meet new people. Each house has a kitchen, one or more bathrooms and toilets, as well as laundry facilities and internet access. There is a lounge and often a large garden where interns can relax and hang out. All Rooms are single private bedrooms.
Rent: around 220 NZD per week
New Zealand Internships is proud to now be able to offer you the possibility of participating in a home stay program in New Zealand. While the majority of home stays tend to be centred around Auckland, we do have home stays available throughout the rest of the country if required. Homestayers are expected to be kind, polite and contribute to household chores. They will be an active participant in family activities and experience the real local culture and values of New Zealanders.
