We’re looking for a mechanical design intern to complete the team of a high-quality service provider with locations in Wellington and Auckland. The services include project consultancy in the areas of business and technical solutions, project management and a broad range of engineering services across different industries like Beverage, Confectionery, Pharmaceutical, Logistics, etc.
Intern Duties
Mechanical Designer Duties:
- Component sizing of unit processes
- Technical report of the process functionality of the plant
- Material mass balance and specification for the plant design
- Project Engineering, i.e. procurement of components and equipment
- Equipment selection process as part of the plant design
- Communication with suppliers
- Design drawings
- Site construction representative
- Writing Operation and Maintenance manuals
- Improvements in the company’s in-house technical library
Mechanical Design Assistant Profile:
- Experienced with CADD and 3D design
- Portfolio required
- Preferred: studies or working experiences related to this area
- Able to work in a team
- Highly motivated
- Enjoying your work and willing to learn new skills
