With a global move away from non-renewable resources and environmentally damaging, chemical-based production methods, the search for bio-based materials for a wide range of applications is becoming ever critical. We have pooled their capabilities in this growing scientific field in our company.
This company focuses on creating technologies to convert primary production outputs into a wide range of high performance, bio-based products. We are focused on creating products using renewable, natural materials – or biomaterials – instead of petrochemicals. New Zealand’s rich heritage of quality biologically based raw materials and bio-manufacturing innovation provides New Zealand with a special opportunity to secure a significant role in the global trend of creating high-performance products from biological materials.
Our company has through original research, developed and continues to develop its portfolio of intellectual property in biopolymers, speciality chemicals, bio-composites, bio-foams and moulded structures. With our key partners, we are actively taking these products to the marketplace.
