Martin from Germany tells his story of his time in New Zealand

Information Technology Internship

Martin was an intern from Germany. He did his internship in business orientated Information Technology in an IT company on Auckland’s North Shore.

Martin chose to do an internship abroad because of what he’d get out of the experience. He wanted to improve his English, his social skills and of course to get work experience in an IT company. Doing it abroad meant he was able to see and compare how IT companies operate depending on where you are in the world.

He especially liked the pies, a typical “Kiwi” food – basically meat and gravy wrapped in a pastry crust. He had them at least three times a week because he knew he wouldn’t be able to get them back home!
