Clémentine from France tells the story of her time in New Zealand

Marketing Internship

“I came to New Zealand a little bit by accident, actually. Since I arrived however, I fell completely in love in this country! People are so nice and the country is beautiful. The life is so different from that in Europe. I’m not only doing an internship – I’m living an adventure.

New Zealand internships organise a lot of activities, week end trips, party, restaurants… Thanks to them I have been able to discover wonderful places and there have always been people to meet and make friends with.

I also discovered Auckland. It is a beautiful city where you can find everything. It has beautiful landscapes but is also a modern urban city. I tried a lot of new things here, including visiting a ‘Cat Cafe’. I also did some typical kiwi things such as visiting Hobbiton, hiking the Tongariro crossing. It was wonderful just to act as an hobbit for the day and to discover the view on the top of the Tongariro.

I also did a swing jump which was crazy and amazing. The landscape was so beautiful, as the weather. It will remain one of my favourite moments in New Zealand.

Otherwise I’m really happy to be one of NZI’s interns because thanks to them I’m living an amazing adventure here. They are always really willing to help me with my internship (if I have a problem etc) and they gave me opportunities to do all these different and amazing things.”

With the help of NZI I was able to choose the tourism industry and it was the best choice I could have made. It’s basically the dream internship; a combination of adventurous activities and educational days in the office.
