Our company is New Zealand’s leading provider of Immigration Services. Our work ranges from some of the most complex immigration cases in New Zealand law to straight-forward visitor visa applications. Our team has a unique lawyer/consultant combination which ensures our work is undertaken by qualified lawyers and experienced consultants. Most of our team members have migrated to New Zealand themselves, and so we understand the immigration process and all of its complications.

At our company, we believe in people working with other people. We don’t believe in fancy forms or impersonal evaluation software, but in giving real, personalised service. Our office is full of friendly personalities who love New Zealand and enjoy working with clients and their families. We are like a small family unit who like to work hard and play hard. We share knowledge and experience constantly and we are all passionate about the work that we do.

Intern Duties

The person we are looking for must be a people person. As an immigration law firm, our clientele includes people from all over the world with different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. It is therefore very important for the intern to understand this and be a broad-minded, culturally-sensitive individual who can be both flexible and friendly in their dealings with clients – especially with those who do not speak very good English.

This role will also involve some secretarial work for the firm’s Principal, Senior Consultant and Business Development Manager such as:

  • Market research
  • Direct mailing
  • Preparing presentations

If the intern proves sufficiently capable of gaining an understanding of our work within a short period of time, the role may eventually broaden to include assistance with our immigration practice including the preparation and drafting of visa, permit and residence applications.

This role will be based at our office in Auckland and also will include all of the usual office administration duties such as:

  • Answering and directing incoming calls
  • Meeting and greeting clients and prospects
  • Attending team meetings and taking minutes
