ACCOUNTS AND ADMIN MANAGER

Accounts and Admin Manager – Part time/ full time

We are a small but growing property management company, based in Manukau, Auckland. We are taking over an office space in Manukau Central from 1st of April.
Our growth has created an opportunity for someone who has a strong bookkeeping/accounts understanding & experience. Along with bookkeeping, you will champion the admin role. Ask us what involved in an admin role? A lot. From managing all document, to advertise properties online, schedule viewings, messaging prospective tenants, screen tenants, writing content to provide support to our property management team – anything that keeps the clogs in motion. The role is not for the faint-hearted. While industry-specific training will be provided, you’ll naturally be someone who is super proactive, organised and diligent.

Tasks and duties:
Bank reconciliation
Invoicing
Making payments
Preparing GST Returns every two months
Advertising properties
Writing content for our ads and social media.
Document management and compliance
Scheduling and showing properties to prospective tenants
Doing thorough credit and background checks
Regular property inspections
Booking jobs with tradies, liaising with tenants and ensuring work gets done professionally and in a timely manner.
Managing tenants who sublet our office space
Attending trade or community events and connect with potential landlords wanting to get their properties managed.
Reaching out to potential landlords through social media and various directories and arranging meetings.

Experience/skills required:
You need to have bookkeeping/accounts experience or currently be studying accounting.
Xero software
Bank reconciliation
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management
Being organised and proactive
Ideally, you will be located nearby or can easily commute to South Auckland.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to go through a series of questions from our accountant to test their skills and ability and assess suitability for the role. There will also be a paid trial, the duration of which is negotiable.

Hours of work are negotiable, and will mostly be between Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5 pm. Some weekend work and after-hours work will be necessary, hence your weekend work will be adjusted accordingly.

We offer training opportunities and are happy to pay for you to complete a Certificate in Residential Property Management (Level 4).
